About Work Shop
The Workshop is a 2,890 square foot, 2-story, wood frame structure. It is sided with blue wood shingles with white trim. The roof is black asphalt shingles.
The Workshop was built in 1910 and designed by architect J. Lawrence Aspinwall (cousin of Dr. Trudeau). Current use is as an office for meetings and training. It is in good condition. It was originally built as a workshop for arts and crafts and named the Herbert L. Scholfield Memorial.
The building formerly featured a weathervane portraying pine trees and grazing deer, which may have been made in the workshop; a similar one on the Harrietstown Town Hall may have been a duplicate of the one on the Scholfield Workshop.
